Our ropeXchange in March was an incredible rope weekend with all of you! A massive thanks to every participant who made our Spring in Ropes rXc an unforgettable experience. Your dedication, creativity, and awesome community spirit filled the space with energy! The shared workshops, labs, and jam sessions showed just how strong our poly-friendly rope community is.

The ropeXchange is a three-day Shibari & Rope Bondage festival organized by queer-friendly, kinky rope enthusiasts in Berlin. We are open to all genders and orientations who appreciate our polynormal spirit and vibe. The ropeXchange takes place four times a year in Berlin. We offer over 36 hours of intensive workshops spread across 3 days, covering rope techniques, labs, peer networking, socializing, and more. On Saturday evenings, we open the event for a Play & Rope Jam.

About the ropeXchange
The ropeXchange is a community festival centered around Shibari & Rope Bondage and other kinky topics. Our mission is to create a safe and inviting space for all who wish to explore the beauty and complexity of Rope Bondage & Shibari. Through a variety of workshops, networking opportunities, and social events, we promote the exchange of knowledge and strengthen the community. We celebrate diversity and creativity.
Since our founding, we have evolved from a small event for beginners into a diverse workshop weekend that takes place four times a year in Berlin. Our focus is on a queer-friendly, polynormal atmosphere that welcomes all genders, sexual orientations, and experience levels.
What you can expect:
- 36+ hours of programming: Intensive workshops, skill labs, and exchange formats covering rope techniques, safety, and creative bondage
- Learning without pressure: Step-by-step courses from Friday to Sunday – from basic training to the first (semi-)suspension
- Flexible participation: Many workshops require no prior knowledge, solo participants easily find contacts
- Safer Space: Awareness concept, retreat areas, and experienced presenters
- Social Highlights: Saturday evening play jam, peer networking, and communal practice in locations like theKnast
